Todos los años, el 26 de abril, celebramos el Día Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual para fomentar el debate sobre el papel que desempeña la PI a la hora de alentar la innovación y la creatividad.

Este año, examinamos el futuro de la cultura en la era digital: la manera en que se crea y se accede a ella y la manera en que se financia. Estudiaremos la manera en que un sistema flexible de propiedad intelectual contribuye a velar por que los artistas y las industrias creativas reciban un pago adecuado por su labor, de modo que puedan seguir creando.

Every April 26, we celebrate World Intellectual Property Day to learn about the role that intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyright) play in encouraging innovation and creativity.

We will look into how a flexible intellectual property system helps ensure that the artists and creative industries are properly paid for their work, so they can keep creating.
