Franco is a lawyer specializing in tax law with experience in business reorganization, tax optimization and tax compliance to the chilean Internal Revenue Service (SII) and Courts of Justice for persons, national and foreign companies.

He has collaborated in several tax law bills and public policy projects, and provides ongoing advice to non-profit entities on donations and their tax regulation.

Before joining Alessandri, he was a founding partner of Gorziglia Morales Cox Abogados law firm.

He began his professional career at the Central Bank of Chile. Later, he worked at Portaluppi Guzmán and Bezanilla and at Arteaga Gorziglia, where he advised Chilean and foreign clients on tax matters, excelling in tax optimization, tax compliance and in the defense and processing of claims and administrative procedures before the Internal Revenue Service and the Courts of Justice.

He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association, the International Fiscal Association and the Chilean Institute of Tax Law.

Academic activity

Professor of tax law at the Law School of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile since 1998, where he also teaches post-graduate tax courses.

Since 2015, he has been a professor of Tax Law at Universidad de Los Andes, where he teaches and directs the Tax Law Diploma and Master’s Program.

At both universities he teaches tax courses at the undergraduate, graduate and extension levels.
