Summary

Camila has competition and antitrust experience in Chile, the European Union, and the United States. Camila has advised clients in a wide range of markets including pharmaceutical, telecommunications, real estate, maritime transport, ports, health services and the food industry. She is a Consultant for the World Bank Group in the Finance Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice, in Washington, D.C. Previously, she was at the Office of International Affairs of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and was a Guest Editor for the competition law journal, Concurrences.

Prior to her work in the U.S., she was a Senior Associate in mergers and antitrust at Barros & Errázuriz in Chile. During her tenure, she led high profile mergers, antitrust litigation, and investigations including the largest pharmaceutical merger in Chilean history. She was also involved in several national-level public endeavors including commenting proposed amendments to the Chilean Competition Law and guidelines drafted by the Chilean Competition Authority (FNE). She also participated in relevant international competition forums such as in the International Competition Network (ICN) as a non-governmental advisor. Previously she was a case handler at the FNE where she was in charge of antitrust and merger investigations and the filing of lawsuits before the Competition Tribunal and the Supreme Court, she also represented the FNE at the ICN and APEC.

Her E.U. experience includes the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission (DG Comp) in Brussels, Gorrissen Federspiel in Copenhagen, and Howrey LL.P in Brussels.

She has been recognized as Associate to Watch by Chambers Latin America 2015, 2016 and Next Generation Lawyer by Legal 500, 2016. She is admitted to practice law in Chile and New York. Given her experience in three jurisdictions, and the international nature of her work, she provides a global perspective for dealing with multi-jurisdictional investigations and transactions.
